The Bin

The Bin was a socially engaged project in collaboration with Wonder’neath Art Society and in conjunction with a semester-long practicum placement through NSCAD University.

The store received donations from over 15 artists and had over 100 visitors. In exchance for free supplies, visitors were asked to fill out a questionnaire about their selections (i.e. What does it remind you of? What could you turn it into? Describe it with your eyes closed). Visitors were engaged in conversations about recycling and creative re-use. Responses to the materials and ideas for re-use were compiled in a zine at the end of the project.
